Join us for a drop-in, bring-your-own materials crafting group at the Riverside Arts Center in Studio 1 from 6-8pm.

Join YDL-Michigan for our Downtown Queer Crafting Group! No registration required. This is a monthly bring-your-own-materials program. We'll be meeting on the following Monday evenings: March 11; April 08; May 13.

This program offers space and time to connect over our mutual love for crafting and creating. Folks of the LGBTQIA+ community (ages 18+) are invited to bring projects to work on, and build a creative community.

Bring your own half-finished projects, or a project you've been wanting to start. Have a pile of stuff you've been saving for a personal art project? Just want to zone out and color or draw for an hour? Join us just to get out of the house and be in a creative shared space. We welcome paints, fiber arts (sewing, knitting, etc.), paper crafts, drawing, writing, digital arts -- whatever you want to work on, we can make space together.

The Downtown Queer Crafting Group will meet from 6-8pm at the Riverside Arts Center in Studio 1. This is a large open room with capacity for 20 people. We will have tables and chairs set up, and there is an art sink available if needed. Free parking is available at Riverside, as well as two nearby public parking lots.

Questions or comments? Contact YDL Librarian Aaron Smith at asmith@ypsilibrary.org or 734-482-4110 x1335 for more information.
