Family Birding Walk

Meet at the Grove Street entrance to the Ford Lake boardwalk and take a birding walk. Learn about the birds you see with members of the Washtenaw Audubon Society.

Duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck...goose! Did you know that there are over twenty species of ducks that regularly visit Washtenaw County over the winter? If you're looking for a fun activity that you and your family can participate in, join us for a duck walk along the Ford Lake boardwalk. We will take a little hike down along the shores of the lake and look for birds like redheads, pintails, scoters, canvasbacks, and many more. Dress warmly! Meet at the Grove Street Entrance to the boardwalk. Hosted by the Washtenaw Audubon Society who will bring spotting scopes and binoculars.
