Bring your acoustic or electric guitar, pick a favorite simple song you want to share, and let's practice some tunes together!
Join our long-running YDL Guitar Club to practice your skills, learn new songs, and play in a group. Other stringed instruments are welcome, and singing is encouraged, but emphasis is on the guitar.
Beginners are 100% welcome, but may want to listen and observe for a session to see if our group is a good fit for you. No experience with proper sheet music is necessary, but we do often use basic tabs and chord notations.
At each session, each person is invited to bring a song to share -- a cover tune that is relatively easy for everyone to work with. You are welcome to print and bring guitar tabs/chords and lyrics (often available online), or email group leader Aaron with a song suggestion, and he can print copies for everyone.
Recent songs we have played include "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen, "Brown-Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, "Love Like Me" by Billy Strings, and "Penny Lane" by the Beatles.
