Turn your junk mail into unique, earth-friendly art.
Receiving endless piles of junk mail can be disheartening for those of us who would like to lessen our strain on the environment. Bring your junk mail (after removing identifying information) and put it to artistic use by using it to make a junk mail collage.
About the instructor: Angelica Esquivel is a Xicana writer and artist. She created the work Earth, You Have Returned to Me, a triptych made from junk mail and acrylic paint on permanent display at YDL-Superior. The piece was inspired by the foliage in Ypsilanti and its title is an homage to a poem of the same title by Elaine Equi.
