By following our guidelines, borrowers will be able to understand how lenders think and be able to tailor their loan applications so that they have a better chance at loan approval.

Thomas McFadden, Lender Relations Specialist
Tom McFadden works for the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Lender Relations Specialist. Previously, Tom was a Finance and Strategy Specialist with the Michigan Small Business Development Center, where he worked as a consultant for small manufacturers throughout Michigan, helping them obtain working capital and other financing. Tom is a seasoned commercial lender with over 30 years of experience, having worked for NBD Bank, Republic Bank and a de novo bank in Ann Arbor, MI. Tom holds an MBA degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with double majors in Marketing and Finance and a BA degree from the University of Notre Dame where he double-majored in Economics and Government.
Brandon Adolph, Outreach & Marketing Specialist
Brandon Adolph is the Outreach & Marketing Specialist covering Genesee, Oakland and Washtenaw counties as well as all of Northern Michigan beyond Saginaw for the Michigan District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. He is charged with Ecosystem building with chambers of commerce, downtown development authorities and economic development organizations. Adolph joined the SBA in 2023 following a career in various marketing leadership roles. He is an alumnus of Eastern Michigan University where he received his B.B.A. and he holds a M.A. from Wayne State University.
