Our 2025 Family Read book, The Puppets of Spelhorst has a central theme of kindness so in celebration of both Patsy Chandler and our Family Read program come out to create kindness for others! Help Michigan Avenue staff celebrate the life and legacy of Patsy Chandler, a local philanthropist and avid community supporter. Throughout the day there will be a tea station available in honor of the many Birthday Tea Parties that Patsy hosted as fundraisers for our library and other community organizations. There will also be supplies to make cards for Cups of Love for Meals on Wheels: mugs stuffed with tea, hot chocolate, soup mix, and a card. Visit the library to celebrate Patsy’s birthday, enjoy a cup of tea, and engage in community building!
Have extra mugs you would like to donate? Email smorrison@ypsilibrary.org to coordinate a drop-off time.
