Author Barbara McQuade will explain the tactics of disinformation and how they are harming our democracy, public safety, and the rule of law. Discussion will follow, led by Washtenaw Faces Race.
Barbara McQuade, author of Attack from Within: How disinformation is sabotaging America, will show us how to identify the ways disinformation is seeping into all facets of our society and how we can fight against it with practical solutions to strengthen public safety, the media, and truth-based politics.
In addition to writing, McQuade is an MSNBC legal analyst, former US Attorney General for Eastern District of Michigan, co-host of the Sisters in Law podcast, and professor at the University of Michigan Law School. Washtenaw Faces Race will follow with discussion about how racist disinformation affected the outcome of the November election and actions we can take to fight for transparency in politics.
