Bring your acoustic or electric guitar, pick a favorite simple song you want to share, and practice some tunes with a group!
Join our long-running YDL Guitar Club to practice your skills, learn new songs, and play in a group. Other stringed instruments are welcome, and singing is encouraged, but emphasis is on the guitar.
Beginners may want to listen and observe for a session to see if our group is a good fit. No experience with proper sheet music is necessary, but we often use basic tabs and chord notations.
Each person is invited to bring a song to share -- a cover tune that is relatively easy for everyone to work with. You are welcome to print and bring guitar tabs/chords and lyrics (often available online), or email group leader Aaron with a song suggestion, and he can print copies for everyone.
Recent songs we have played include "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen, "Brown-Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, "Love Like Me" by Billy Strings, and "Penny Lane" by the Beatles.
