AARP’s Tax-Aide assistance program is provided by trained volunteers in partnership with the IRS. This program is primarily for taxpayers over 50 with low to moderate incomes.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers have been doing taxes at YDL at no cost for over 16 years, completing taxes for hundreds of taxpayers annually. There is no age requirement, but this service is primarily meant for taxpayers over 50 years old with low to moderate incomes. AARP membership is not required. Call 734-482-4110 x2411 (Whittaker Road), x2421 (Michigan Avenue) or x2431 (Superior) to make an appointment or to ask for more information. Before you meet with your AARP tax preparer, you will need to pick up an informational packet and forms that must be filled out in advance of your appointment.
