This hybrid series screens films that provide the opportunity to safely engage in conversation about the topic of racism. Local storyteller and peace activist La'Ron Williams will lead discussion.
Our October program will examine racial issues underlying this general election. We will review and discuss video material that shines a light on forces affecting our democracy. Race is so fundamentally woven into voting rights, climate justice, immigration restrictions, poverty, education, crime, housing, economics, and even book banning, that we rarely question its reality, whether we are racist or anti-racist.
La’Ron Williams, local storyteller and peace activist, will facilitate an open, honest discussion about the videos.
