As an intergenerational program, we welcome all participants ages 10 and up to share this learning experience together. Paloma will guide a 2-part workshop leading to a collective art display.
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 10 YEARS OR OLDER
Session One, Oct 14: Beginners printmaking
This beginner linocut-printmaking workshop is intended for people with little to no previous experience in printmaking. This workshop includes an in-depth explanation about image transfer, printmaking papers, carving tools, registration, inking, and printing. It offers the hands-on experience needed in order to create an edition of 5 -10 small prints.
Session Two, Oct 21: Collaborative Printed Accordion Book
In this workshop, students will learn to carve a mini print to be shared with the rest of the class. This workshop will cover step-by-step instructions about transferring an image, carving, inking, and printing in a Woodzilla press and also printing by hand. In a mixed and matched fashion, each student will be able to print their own edition of accordion books. No previous experience needed!
