As an intergenerational program, we welcome all participants ages 8 and up to share this learning experience together. Lynne Settles will guide a 2-part workshop leading to a collective art display.
Lynne Settles, a retired art teacher from Ypsilanti High School, will lead a 2-part workshop. Participants will create designs on large puzzle-shaped paper, each representing an individual story. Whether you work solo, in pairs, or in groups, you can tell any story you want on your puzzle piece. Your art can be a painting, drawing, collage, words, mixed media, fabric, or anything that is meaningful to you. The goal is to create something truly meaningful. During Session #2 (on Thursday, September 28), there will be a continuation of the work in session one and an installation of the collective pieces. Participants will be able to keep their art, but for a short length of time, we’ll have the display up at YDL-Superior for everyone to enjoy.
