Join us the first and third Tuesdays of the month for a fun-filled book club featuring friends, snacks, free books that you get to keep and a gift card raffle at each session! As part of the Great Stories Club, we will be exploring questions of race, equity, identity and history. The books we will be reading have been selected to inspire young people — especially those facing difficult circumstances or challenges — to consider "big questions" about the world around them and their place in it.
The Ypsilanti District Library, in partnership with Ozone House, has been selected as one of 58 libraries nationwide to take part in the Great Stories Club, a reading and discussion program that is intended for marginalized teens in the community. This competitive grant is offered by the American Library Association (ALA) with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).
*Our Book Club will be temporarily meeting at the Spark East Innovation Center, in light of Michigan Avenue's closure. The address is 215 W. Michigan Avenue, Ypsilanti 48197.
To register, please email Kelly at kscott@ypsilibrary.org.
