Celebrate La Semana de la Lactancia Latina, or Latina/x Breastfeeding Week, with a storytime hosted by Washtenaw County WIC. Learn about the kids' Spanish Language Collection at the library, too.
Celebrate La Semana de la Lactancia Latina, or Latina/x Breastfeeding Week, with a storytime hosted by Washtenaw County Women, Infants and Children. The storytime aims to promote breastfeeding education and create a welcoming space for the Latino community. We will read the Spanish version of Ziora's Quest by Dr. Amaka Nnamani, a beautifully illustrated book that encourages and educates young readers about the importance of breastfeeding. Storytime concludes with an introduction to the Spanish book collection for kids and a short tour of the Youth Department.
